2010 was an interesting year for me and photography to say the least. I joined the Virtual PhotoWalk group and then let it slide through my fingers, only posting up to July 30th. I participated in two shows that I have for the last few years, Valenzano’s Winefest and the Deerfield Township Harvest Festival, as well as a couple of others that I had not been involved with previously. Eh, I can’t say I was thrilled. Deerfield is turning shabby (and not a nice shabby chic) and the highlight of Winefest was only that I saw people that I haven’t seen in years. The other shows, you ask. Not even worth mentioning.
So, if you couldn’t tell, I’ve become a bit bitter over photography. That’s ok though. I’ve come to realize that it’s the “making money” part that I’m fed up with because it’s really a waste of my time. As long as I view photography as a hobby (since I’m willing to give no time for it to be anything more) than anything else is icing. Keeping it as just a hobby should allow me to enjoy photography the way I used to. See, told you the bitterness would pass.
Without further ado, here is my year in review.
I’ve upload a lot of new photos throughout May in my Photowalk blog – check it out!
